Since 1983 HOT FUN has specialized in FIRST CLASS hot air balloon flights primarily in Southern Maine. Operations also include flight lessons and tethered balloon presentations. We offer consulting and technical initiation of corporate balloon campaigns and practical tutorials for prospective “flying sailboat” owners.

Our chief pilot, Joe Shevenell, has logged over 1,700 hours of flight time in balloons. Prior to flying balloons he captained and crewed large ocean racing sailboats worldwide. He brings a healthy respect and reliable knowledge of the wind and weather to the challenges of professional ballooning. In addition, he is pilot-in-command of an AEROSTAR S-60A balloon owned by the country music duo, Kix BROOKS & Ronnie DUNN.
